Take the opposite approach for a surprising take on words. Use white space and design around it for maximum appeal. This could be used with any color scheme and might be fun to do a time lapse of someone drawing around the words being advertised.
This fox and crow branding design works very well, I love the imagery and how it is used. The silhouette does the design justice, I think that if there was colour added, you would lose the idea behind it. I like how the grunge texture is incorporated into the imagery too. Creates a catchy effect. Don't think this branding could be very versatile, would work well as a logo though.
