Family/Dining room turned into playroom. Pictures of our son with family members who live long distance hang above the play kitchen. The art corner provides storage area & highest shelf contains items only accessible to me & are used under my supervision (i.e. glue, scissors, play-doh). A white shelving unit is used in a lackadaisical Montessori-style with the top being open & the bottom containing blocks, Legos, matchbox cars, etc. Above it, a chicken-wire frame is used to display artwork.
"I wanted to work with transparency as a predominate element in order to create furniture that gets its color and shape from the room it stands in. By combining glass and plastic with reflecting chrome, TOBIAS chair and TORSBY dining table become like an illusion, an abstract experience." Designer: Carl Öjerstam
