The Magnetic Air Car uses compressed air technology for propulsion, but unlike Tata Motors air engine, or DiPietro, theirs uses a different design: three on-board air compressors channel the air stream towards something that probably is a magnetic motor, something that everybody thinks is still Sci-Fi. But it’s not. The magnets, repelling each other, can be a source of movement, and, if properly propelled by an air jet, could have “devastating” effects in terms of power

Forget electricity, cars of the future could run on air. India-based Tata Motors claims that it has successfully demonstrated a compressed air engine and is now looking to develop a market-ready product. The concept for the air-powered car is not a new one, but Tata, which holds the license for Motor Development International’s (MDI) air engine technologies, may be the first firm to bring the idea to fruition.

"A Spanish craftsman named Patelo skillfully designed and fabricated this tiny working V-12 motor from stock stainless steel, aluminum, and bronze for his grandchildren. It took more than 1200 hours of work. Not counting the 222 screws, he machined all 261 pieces himself. The engine operates via compressed-air injection, has 12cm3 total displacement, 11.3mm cylinder heads, and a 10mm stroke on each piston." via Make
