Dryopteris erythrosora 'Brilliance - A selected form of one of the finest garden ferns, being tough, vigorous, evergreen and colourful. New fronds emerge red-pink in spring, turning bronze then glossy-green, with the sori underneath bright red. Bi-pinnate, triangular fronds reach about 60cm high. Any reasonable soil in semi-shade.
Coral Bean - The red seeds of Coral Bean (Erythrina herbacea) remain nestled in their open pod in the back yard of our vacation rental near Pawleys Island. They are toxic to humans, and since they have persisted into the late Winter it seems likely that there are no animals there that eat them.
