cubbies- have with out-of-season flip through a hinged closet system. The board with hooks can be slipped off of notch to enter. Inside would be a few hinged coat hangers (for bulky winter and rain coats & pants), a clothing ladder (for draping the less bulky outdoor clothing), and a peg-hole rack (for things like hats, scarves etc.).
Coat hooks. I mean... there's not really much you can do there, right? (Wrong.) With one or two or 20 standard coat hooks and a little bit of ingenuity, you can create some pretty stellar little hallway hacks worthy of bearing an artsy label like "entryway installment" (rather than dull old coat rack).
