Often those outside the home think abusers are wonderful.they don't see what goes on behind closed doors. The abuser (my wife) is perfect in the eyes of friends and coworkers as they don't see the REAL person
The worst part of being abused is the betrayal. The one who should of protected you was the one who harmed you, it hurts till you just lose yourself in confusion about how & why & what happened, and it sucks.
Children exposed to violence in their family show the same pattern on activity in their brains as soldiers exposed to combat. Therefore, this creates the child to have PTSD. I have seen this time and again in many environments with many children.
