I'll say this again and again until the pit bull owners listen. Pit bulls aren't "bad". But, the killing instinct isn't far beneath the surface. Trip over the right triggers, and a pet turns into a biting animal that inflicts horrible wounds. They don't mean to do it, it's just what instinct tells them to do in certain circumstances. Even adults have died needlessly because someone didn't take those instincts seriously.
