DIY Carpet Kicker ~ If you have any loose carpet that needs to be stretched back into place, don’t go out and buy or rent a carpet kicker. Create your own from a carpet tack strip and a couple of 2x4 scraps. Tack two 1-ft. long 2x4s together and nail a few carpet tack strip pieces to the bottom. Hold the kicker down and pound with a hand maul to stretch the carpet back into place. - Joe Waldron
