No doubt many of you like me have been glued to two weeks of brilliant Great Britain triumph in Rio at the Olympics. We are extremely proud of all our Olympians but none more so than our local athletes. As well as the Cotswold rowers our Hartpury based Dressage squad led by Carl Hester won a team silver to add to their gold from London and the heroic Charlotte Dujardin gloriously triumphed with her second individual gold. The excitement in the large crowd was palpable as Great Britain’s Carl Hester walked to center arena for his first New England appearance at Pineland Farm in New Gloucester, Maine, on Oct. 14 for the New England Dressage Association Fall Symposium.
