The Canton Tower is a TV tower in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. The Canton Tower is 600 meters tall and the highest structure in China. It was built from 2005 to 2010 and replaced the Toronto CN Tower as highest TV Tower in the world.Since the completion of the Tokyo Skytree in 2011 (634m) the Canton Tower ranks second highest TV Tower in the world and 4th highest structure behind the Burj Khalifa, the Tokyo Skytree and the Royal Clock Tower of Mecca.
Rotating pods atop Canton Tower in Guangzhou give riders a breathtaking view of one of the world's most populous cities. The Bubble Tram is sometimes referred to as the world's highest Ferris wheel, though the track is horizontal. The cars circle the top of the tower, 1,493 feet high.
