Captives marching through a town, during World War I. Prisoners taken captive by Canadian soldiers march through a small town. Soldiers and civilians watch from the roadside, as the captives are escorted through town by men on horseback. An image such as this would make good propaganda, and may have appeared in British or Canadian newspapers. It offers evidence that the Allies are making progress and beating down the enemy.
I guarantee you America would have a less jingoistic, less xenophobic populace overall if this sort of information were actually reported to us. If we weren’t always fed the lie of helping the world without any gratitude or help in return.
