[ adding some color + winter + purple ] A Fantastic use of Winter Kale. Just planted, this looks great. But before investing in Winter Kale realize it does not last much past freezing temperatures and does best with some shelter.
Seems like an easy enough DIY "collars fit snugly around the stems of cabbages, cauliflowers, broccoli and brussels sprouts to prevent the cabbage root fly laying its eggs beside the roots of the plants. Collars expand as the stems grow.
HOPE TO FIGURE THIS ONE OUT. Flower tower using flowering cabbages. Plant cabbage flowering kale in June/early July. A great way to bring color to the fall garden the edible leaves make a nice garnish on the autumn table.
