Martha Stewart's Buttermilk Waffles: PERFECT. I have never been able to succeed with homemade waffles like I have with this recipe. The cornstarch tip worked perfectly! I even used powdered buttermilk versus liquid (just keeps SO much longer in the fridge) and it still turned out great. Light, fluffy, and a light crisp to the outside!
These waffles are amazing!! I make them once or twice a week and just store the batter in the fridge so we can have fresh waffles every day! When I am out of buttermilk, I just sour some 2% milk with a few tablespoons of vinegar. Seriously so good that my baby boy and I eat them without syrup (and I skip the cheese on top as indicated in the recipe, although who knows....it might actually be tasty!!)
