American actor and jazz musician Buddy Rogers and motion picture actress, co-founder of the film studio United Artists, and one of the original 36 founders of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Mary Pickford, her third and last wedding, June 24, 1937.  They were married 42 years before her death in 1979. Her previous marriages were to actors Owen Moore (1911-1920) and Douglas Fairbanks (1920-1936).
