These quintessentially British geometric floor tiles by OriginalStyle.com recreate authentic Victorian and Edwardian patterns in halls, kitchens, bathrooms, conservatories, as well as paths and patios.
This pint-sized kitchen goes to show you needn’t be nervous about mixing up your materials in a small space. Keep to a neutral colour palette and go to town with reclaimed wood, ceramic metro tiles, copper – anything goes. The use of cladding will also give your kitchen a cosy cabin feel, as supposed to just being plain old small. A handsome dish, indeed. #refinery29 http://www.refinery29.uk/small-kitchen-ideas-interiors-tiles#slide-1
*A mix of all eras* 'Mixing styles and eras is all about being confident and thinking, 'Yes, this will work'', says interior designer Louise Convert. A local firm made the kitchen units in her kitchen from recycled scaffolding boards, while the vintage ladder is from AG Hendy & Co. The old copper pans have been collected from eBay and the cabinet is a vintage French piece. Image: Brent Darby
