12/1/15 Current Event- Brazil's economy has been shrinking for three consecutive quarters. This quarter it shrunk yet another 1.7% making it the longest recession for Brazil since the 1930s. Also, inflation rose over 10%, the highest in 12 years and unemployment rose to 8.9%, up 6.8% previously. Things are not looking too bright for this former South American powerhouse.
