2 cp sugar 1/2 cp h2o 1 tbsp corn syrup 6 tbsp unsalted butter 1 cp whipping cream 1/2 tsp salt, or to taste 1/2 tsp vanilla 1/4 cp bourbon whiskey. Mix sugar, h20, corn syrup in a deep, heavy-bottomed pan set over medium-high heat. Stir until sugar dissolves. Cook, swirling the pan to promote even browning without stirring, until caramel is nut brown. Remove from heat and stir in butter, cream and salt. will bubble furiously; if it hardens, heat to re-warm. Stir in the vanilla and bourbon.
