2016 Reading Challenge (For Kids!)-this is *perfect* way to get your children to read more this year! It's like a scavenger hunt and book program in one. Find the types, read them and check them off. No specific books required, so you can get everything from the library. Free printable, too!

Leaf People: Make this craft after an outdoor scavenger hunt or a class "hike." I will do this with my first graders during our camp week at the end of the year. After they collect their nature items during the hike, we will return to the classroom where the kids will creature their "leaf person/animal/creature" and then they can write about their "leaf friend".
