Betty Davis is a funk, rock and soul singer-songwriter and was Miles Davis' second wife. After the breakup of her marriage, Davis moved to London to pursue her modelling career. She wrote music (a passion since childhood) while in the U.K. and returned to the U.S. Her first album, Betty Davis, was released in 1973. We love Betty Davis for her unique style of fashion and music and she will always be the coolest sister in the 70s to us!
Betty Davis was a woman far, far ahead of the curve (and ahead of her time). She is credited as the woman who introduced Miles Davis to Jimi Hendrix and, ultimately, sparked the beginning of jazz fusion music.
