Derwentwater or Derwent Water, a lake in Keswick, Cumbria England. A predominantly rural county, Cumbria is considered one of the most beautiful regions of the UK and includes the whole of the Lake District, also known as The Lakes or Lakeland, the Eden Valley, the North Pennines, the Furness Peninsula, and part of the Yorkshire Dales.
Bassenthwaite Lake ~ Lake District ~ UK. Have walked around most of this lake and we go and stay in a little village within walking distance from the lake each year. There are also Ospreys that nest on this lake and I love watching them flying and fishing. Wonderful, peaceful place to visit.
