Died: January 20, 1990 (age 82) of Congestive Heart Failure, Chronic Obstructive lung disease & Emphysema in California, USA. Known for, "The Colbys" (1985 - 1986). She was considered for the role of 'Margo Channing' in "All About Eve" (1950) after Claudette Colbert was forced to pull out of the project due to back injury. However the part was given to Bette Davis, who went on to receive a Best Actress Oscar.
When Elvis Presley, who rides a motorcycle in current film, 'Roustabout', learned co-star Barbara Stanwyck could ride a motorcycle, Elvis promptly hoisted the four-time Academy Award nominee aboard a motorcycle built for two and they were off in a cloud of dust to the amazement of everybody March 20, 1964, in Thousand Oaks, Calif. Elvis and Miss Stanwyck are shown in a cow pasture where the film company was on location.
