Martha Stewart's Hi Hat Cupcakes via Bakerella. Tried it! Lurve these!! They are worth the effort. I've had these a few times. A couple of notes: don't over-bake the cakes; I've had more success with a meringue that is cooked first, then whipped in a Kitchen-Aid stand mixer; these are messy eats, but oh, so tasty.

Easy to make caramel cupcakes which get their caramel flavour from using both light brown sugar and adding caramel sauce to the mix.
