Early Screening for Autism - Pediatricians today do a better job of screening for autism. One of the forms you may encounter at your child’s pediatrician visit is the M-CHAT ( Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers). The M-CHAT is a series of questions designed to help determine if your child needs a more thorough evaluation. The M-CHAT is done at ages 16 and 30 months. You don’t have to wait. If you have a concern you can get the screening questionaire and scoring online at M-CHAT.org.
