This is where tempos go to die. I love this because it shows the music, but the music isn't even the urtext (it does not have any ossia), and he isn't even following Chopin's pedaling or dynamics.. I have lots of issues with his interpretation (yes, I can play this, albeit not perfectly, yet). There IS pedaling in the cut time section. It's not supposed to be staccato. This is the thing I hate most that some pianists do in their interps. Not to mention the runs at the end that are not…
