Snail Jello. Both of my mystery snails love them! I used Gerbers green beans baby food, 7 tablets of ultra strength TUMS (assorted berries flavor), about 10-15 algae wafers, and 2 envelopes of the knox unflavored gelatin :) Click link for recipe and directions http://www.myaquariumclub.com/snail-jello-for-noobs-without-great-kitchens-2613.html
Ramshorn snails are popular aquarium snails. They grow fast and they grow large too. The ramshorn snail pictured above is from one of my planted shrimp tanks. They are great additions to planted aquariums. These aquarium snails eat mostly decaying plants and don't seem to eat the healthy plants. If you want more just leave dead plant pieces and extra food in your aquariums. If you keep your aquariums cleaner they reproduce very slowly and are easy to maintain.
Small Horned Nerite Snails are one of the most popular freshwater aquarium snails these days. Nerite Snails are often sold as freshwater aquarium snails, although there are some saltwater varieties as well. Nerites have a reputation for being an outstanding tank cleaner and one of the most proficient algae eating snails around. Nerite Snails can be described as being docile, peaceful and tranquil in temperament, being able to move throughout the tank with ease.
