Pop Art...Twiggy by Andy Warhol. I chose this piece since twiggy was a big figure of the 60s and had a large influence on fashion so images of idols such as twiggy will have helped warholls prominence in the decade. Use of shading here is effective because it gives more dimension whilst still remaining in the style of pop art.

Campbell's Soup I, 1968

i have chosen Andy Warhol because i like how he uses simple compositions to make a large impression, i.e the single soup can, he uses bright colours and very little tone to make a large statement with one single picture. i also like his simplicity as it is very different to the other artists and pictures as this makes it all the more eyecatching

Andy Warhol: Mick Jagger. Idea for the kids to do create a portrait but break into sections and do a different medium in each section, it all creates one beautiful picture.

James Dean - Andy Warhol / Behance. Very powerful icon within the movie industry, known for 'wooing' the women within the decade; the use of subtle tone that Warhol uses on the side of his face changes the picture well, comparing to the Michael Jackson one which is more simplistic and cartoony, this one has more realism but has bright use of colour. This piece is really funky, with the bold solid blue background and the bright golden hair.

Andy Warhol - The bright colours stand out very well, and easily catches your eye. The picture is plain and simple, but works really well. The abstract colours pop out and defines Warhol as an artist.
