A hero to humanity. Alan Mathison Turing British mathematician, logician & cryptanalyst. He was highly influential in the development of computer science. Turing is widely considered to be the father of theoretical computer science and AI. During WW2 he help crack the allegedly unbreakable Enigma code. Turing was prosecuted for homosexuality in 1952. He accepted treatment with female hormones (chemical castration) as an alternative to prison. Turing died from suicide by cyanide poisoning.
