Acadia campsites. No backwoods camping allowed in Acadia. Blackwoods, seawall, and duck harbor (by ferry) are the three options for camping. Seal Harbor is near Blackwoods for an ocean swim. There are no bear bag or bear can requirements in Acadia as there has not been a bear problem but food should be protected from rodents and raccoons. Other hikers in Baxter add chipmunks to the list of thieves.
