The whole month of December in Denmark is dominated by Christmas. Each year there is a Christmas calendars for kids, which is sent on TV. The children watch one episode every night. The final episode on the 24th of December is often the highlight of the month for many children. During the month, most Danish families spend a lot of family time together baking cookies, making Christmas decorations etc, and in most towns the main shopping streets are decorated with fir garlands and lights.
