At the 1988 Olympics Dan Jansen was a favorite to take home two gold medals. Just hours before the finals he received word his sister Jane had passed away of leukemia. He left those Games without a medal. Four years later he was back and again a favorite but two more races and no medals. He returned in 1994 only to fall in his first race. With one race left he skated the perfect race to take gold. He skated a victory lap with his daughter, Jane.    1994 Winter Olympics  Lillehammer, Norway
