Peter Llewelyn Davies MC (25 February 1897 – 5 April 1960) was the middle of five sons of Arthur and Sylvia Llewelyn Davies, one of the Llewelyn Davies boys befriended and later informally adopted by J. M. Barrie. Barrie publicly identified him as the source of the name for the title character in his famous play Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up.

On February 19th, 1897, the Allentown Band was playing in front of the new Hess Brothers store to entertain the shoppers. Hess also bought a significant amount of advertising space in the local Allentown newspapers to inform people about his store.

The former Slatington High School, later used as the Lincoln Elementary School is now gone.  Built in 1897 on Kuntz Street, it was gutted by fire 20 February 1917, rebuilt and then re-opened in 1918. The magnificent structure was demolished in 1975, and the location, in combination with the Smith Hall site, was used for Trout Creek Manor, now George Dillard Manor, housing for the elderly
