The Georgia O'Keeffe Home & Studio is a site significant for its architecture and its association with artist Georgia O'Keeffe, who purchased the Abiquiu, New Mexico property from the Catholic Archdiocese of Santa Fe in 1945, after attempting to buy it for 10 years. The house in Abiquiu became her primary residence until 1984, when she moved to Santa Fe two years prior to her death at age 98.
Roman numerals, the numeric system used in ancient Rome, employs combinations of letters from the Latin alphabet to signify values. The Roman numeral system is a cousin of Etruscan numerals. Use of Roman numerals continued after the decline of the Roman Empire. From the 14th century on, Roman numerals began to be replaced in most contexts by more convenient Hindu-Arabic numerals.
