Bat carers are desperately needed in North Queensland Australia, their mothers are being shot right now and the babies are starving to death.

'Duruga' the Orphaned Bat

The other day I got to meet the cutest bat ever. His name is 'Duruga' and he is being handreared by Tegan after he lost his mum in an accident. There are more pics and info available on the Taronga Website.

I had a pet bat for a week a couple years ago until my mom made me get rid of it. Bats can be cute!!
