It then continues to a little fishing village boasting a very good hotel, "The Royal", where a pleasant day can be made. The scenery in every direction is very grand although somewhat…

Let's all get on the "nope nuh huh uh" cable car ride (Table Mountain Cableway) Old Pictures, Old Photos, African Image, Cape Town South Africa, Table Mountain, Out Of Africa, The Beautiful Country, Most Beautiful Cities, Places Of Interest

Table Mountain Cableway.

The Cableway was built in the period 1926-1929 and although these images might have been taken then I have a hunch that they date from about 1900, in other words about 26 years earlier. Could it be that this was an earlier separate undertaking? Any input would be most welcome. Photo; Thanks to fellow flickr member emmyeustace for the use.
