This postcard style card (it was sent in a 6" x 9" black, antique-style, string closure envelope) was sent by Gardiner Design shortly after I began to do web design and creation. Halloween is my favorite holiday, and many years ago I established a tradition of sending halloween cards featuring at first, my black cat "Onyx" and then my black cat "Taj", and eventually included myself!

Gardiner Design had already created the logo, website, and other meterials for Innovative Applied Sciences. They loved the flash intro I'd created for their website, especially the transition from a paper airplane to a jet. As the theme of their corporate brochure was tranformation, I morphed photos, one of a child's game or toy, with one showing it's modern technological "offspring".

This cover and spine is for a self published Pinotage wine book by Peter May. Pinotage is a South African wine and to reinforce that message I combined photos of a billowing South Africian flag and wine flowing into a glass, as well as details of African beadwork on the spine.

These bookcovers use photos supplied by the client, stock photos, and some were art directed and styled/staged by Gardiner Design.    Because the quality of the photos varied greatly, we opted for a "poster-edge" style which would mask the low-resolution of several images. The three images used on the covers also subtly…

Another jeweler's advertisement, this time for Ann Cahoon. The ad/s ran in the 2010 Designer Jewelery Showcase, a hardcover book of high-end jewelers.
