Every week we "harvest" a trug full of turnips. Add to soups and stews, plus when making burger pattis we grate turnip into mince in place of onion. Also add grated turnip to toss salad. We love our veggie patch

Our 78yr old mom kindly knits these little booties from scraps of wool left over from the doggie knitted jerseys. We donate them to the Animal Welfare group in our little town, they sell them to buy medicines for dogs and cats from the poorer area. Thanks to those wonderful ladies who work the welfare.
