FREE printable to help your child with First Day Jitters. Teachers could include in your summer welcome letter or open house packet. I like the idea of a little confetti rather than the messy jitter glitter idea that I've also seen, which could get in a child's eyes and would be hard to clean up.
Teaching from my Heart
The Jitter Critter is the perfect poem to help your students forget about their first day Jitters. This 20 page packet includes 1 poem (two different versions) in color & b/w, 2 different baggie toppers, and 2 craftivities. This poem will make the first day/s fun for your students and help them forget about their jitters! $
Non-messy "Jitter Glitter" for first-day nerves. I didn't want sticky juice or messy glitter, so instead I use a decorated antibacterial hand gel that has the glittery-like beads, which magically disappear as kids rub their hands together. Read the book First Day Jitters, then give each kid a tiny squirt of this on their hands. (It also helps to keep germs at bay on the first day!)
