Red and blue tin friction space car with a tin pilot head behind a windshield. The car has a large rear tail fin marked Atomic and two smaller fins alongside.. MARTE SPACE ROCKET - SAPENA AND BISQUERT - SPAIN A large painted wood rocket with side wings, a forward gun turret and rear antenna. The central well contains three large hard rubber spacemen with helmets. The Marte Space Ship was made in Spain in the 50's. The mostly wood toy measures approx. 22. MARS ROCKET 3122 - MASUDAYA - JAPAN A large red and white tin lithographed battery operated rocket. 14 ins long. Jet plane style with tin astronaut under a clear dome canopy. Bump and go action. Flashing lights in the wings, spacenoise. The yellow lithographed astronaut slowly lifts his arm up and down. 3122 Mars printed on wings. JUPITER ROCKET JP7A - MASUYA - JAPAN WGrey, blue and red plane style in friction rocket with yellow detailing This cockpit with litho pilot. Three fins. WINNER-23 ROCKET - KDP EXELO - JAPAN This is an early lithographed tin rocket. The small (6" 15cm) red and yellow tin battery operated rocket has a pilot under a plastic cockpit canopy. Two engines run along the sides. The small wheels are set very close together. Marked Winner on the tail. The rocket runs along rubber tubing which is laid on the ground. A red and blue lithographed tin friction space vehicle with litho cartoon characters Huckleberry Hound and Yogi Bear. The vehicle has an unusual tear drop shape with vinyl monkey head under a clear dome and two long clear red plastic engine tubes at the back. Two wire antennas sweep backwards along the top. ATOMIC ROCKET X201 WITH PROP - MASUDAYA - JAPAN A red, white and blue lithographed tin friction rocket. The three wheeled rocket has the classic three rear fins design. The fins extend beyond the end of the body. There is minimal detailing, notably a Saturn with a ring of stars on the tail. Marked Atomic Rocket on the sides. DREAM JET MARS X-300 - MARUSAN - JAPAN A yellow lithographed tin friction rocket plane. It is a cross between a rocket and a jet plane with rocket motors mounted on the wing tips. Dream is printed on one wing, and Jet on the other. Mars is printed on the sides. The cockpit is contains a molded red plastic spark cover. Friction action with noise and spark. 18cm Box? Confirmed in yellow and lime green versions. This is a copy of the Pyro X-100 Space Scout though it carries a X-300 serial.
COMMANDER ROCKET ATOMIC CONSTRUCTOR - YOSHIYA - JAPAN A silver lithographed tinplate rocket. Litho details include a cockpit with pilot, tracks and the wording Commander on the sides. Three red metal fins at the back. The vehicle has a passing similarity to the Thiunderbird Mole with its rotating nose structure and its drilling function is mentioned on the box. COMET TAIL ROCKET - MAKER? - WEST GERMANY? This is a brightly lithographed blue and red rocket that looks just like an airship. As usual the box carries no name. It is a tinplate wind up rocket with a propeller at the front. The most striking feature is the stylised red and yellow tin representation of the rocket's flame trail. It is hinged for storage. FRIENDSHIP ROCKET #7 - MASUDAYA - JAPAN This is a slight variation of the blue version of the Atom Rocket 7 with a name change and a new box art. One of Masudaya's tin battery operated space ships with a non-fall action. An astronaut pilot sits inside a cockpit with a clear plastic cover. Rear tail fin and two red conical engines on the side. A metal rocker in the base detects edges and alters the direction of the rocket. On the side is an unusual indication of speed: 17,600 MPH. The box car
