Silver House Gimlet Ingredients: 1 ½ oz. NOLET’S Silver Gin ¾ oz. Lime Juice ¾ oz. Simple Syrup 2 Dashes of Celery Bitters 1 Lime Wedge Pinch of Fresh Dill Preparation: Add a pinch of dill into a chilled coupe or Martini glass. Squeeze the juice from a lime wedge over the dill. In an ice-filled shaker add NOLET’S Silver, lime juice and simple syrup, and shake vigorously until well chilled. Strain into glass, add 2 dashes of bitters and garnish with a sprig of fresh dill.

Most of these are an outgrowth of the Irish distillery-building boom; like the many craft distilleries in America, the new crop of Irish distillers has turned to gin while they wait for their whiskeys to mature. These four gins are each distinctive in their own way, reflective of the Emerald Isle and the people who live there.

DRINK OF THE WEEK: PADDY O’ FIZZ

The inspiration for this drink came from Irish coffee but with a St. Patrick’s Day twist. My travels in Ireland inspired me, where the pubs were not only places to drink but also to spend time with friends, listen to music, and tell tall tales. The Mozart White Chocolate Vanilla Cream Liqueur is lovely because it adds a backbone of vanilla and sweetness but, thanks to its delicacy also allows the other flavors to come forward.
