One of the first antique parasols that I ever recovered. It is red silk taffeta and lined with black silk. The best part about this parasol? The handle is wired jet. The ribs are wood. When I bought the parasol, I was told that it was 1890's. Someone else told me that any large parasol with ribs like that was actually much older, probably 1830's-40's. Who knows. But I love it! P.S. the handle is brass on the inside and unscrews plus it folds---bonus!
