I used post office brown wrapping paper to wrap around the pole. Then, I cut up an old accent tree. I hung the branches from the ceiling using fishing line and paperclips. I wrapped long pieces of rolled up box pieces and attached them to the pole to make big branches. I hung plastic apples using fishing line and paperclips. I love the result. I may add more leaves if I can find another inexpensive accent tree at a yard sale. Otherwise, I get a lot of compliments as it is.
