Evening dress, attributed to Callot Soeurs, 1929, Hillwood Estate, Museum & Gardens. Worn by Marjorie Merriweather Post for her presentation at the Court of St. James's. The tubular dress is sleeveless with dropped waistline and slightly flared at bottom. The garment is heavily beaded on the side seams and waist, both back and front, with rhinestones and clear bugle beads in a floral motif. Train attaches to dress with metal bars at dress shoulder.
