Lex, a German shepherd whose trainer, 20-year-old Marine Corp. Dustin Lee, died in a mortar attack in Falluja in 2007. Lex, who had played with and slept alongside Corp. Lee throughout their service, was also injured in the attack; the dog at first refused to leave his side and had to be pulled away. Lee’s family lobbied extensively for the Marines to retire Lex before the customary age of 10, and Lex is now living with the Lees at their home in rural Mississippi. This dog saved 31 lives during a morning attack on our COB June 19th. Please help raise funds to get this great dog home. This is a pic of Kiowa with the Platoon (9 of us got sent home) on the memorial we built for TOM BOYLE, who died during the attack. He was a civilian contractor, who was on the Chicago PD for 30 years. Please help me get Kiowa home. 1996..a 3 yr.old boy fell into the gorilla`s cage at the Brooklyn Zoo. A female gorilla Binti Jua protected the boy.she cradled him and carefully carried him 60 ft. to a zoo entrance where the zoo keepers could rescue him..the boy was hospilitized and lived..
