When reading the 2nd chapter, I wondered why the story sounded familiar. Turns out it continues the story from Tomorrow I Become a Woman. A book that did to me what Betrayal in the city by Francis Imbuga had done to me back in highschool: Gripped me emotionally & I heavily resonated with the themes addressed.
