The Writer's Museum, Edinburgh
This museum contains the works and personal effects of 3 of the most important Scottish writers - Robert Louis Stevenson, Robert Burns, and Sir Walter Scott. It's located in a square that is easily missed - Lady Stair's Close just off the Royal Mile at Lawnmarket. The house was built in 1622 as a private home. Admission to the museum is free.
