July 2006 Temple of Baal-Shamin Temple of Baal-Shamin, the Lord of the Heavens in Semitic pantheon, responsible for rain and fecundity. Temple was dated ca. AD 17 and its cella dated AD 130. It was completelly restored in 1954-6 by Swiss archeologists. It had an almost baroque style with six-columned vestibule and side walls decorated with pilasters all in Corinthian order. Unfortunatelly this wonderful piece of history... Discovered by Michal Bošina at Temple of Bel-Shamin, Palmyra, Syria

Co Antrim's Giant’s Causeway is a true world wonder Made up of 40,000 black basalt columns jutting from the sea on Northern Ireland's Antrim plateau, the site, featured in many local legends, has been studied extensively by geologists. Formed through volcanic activity during the Tertiary period, 50-60 million years ago, it was declared a World Heritage Site in 1986.

Mysterious Couple Found In Ancient Russian Burial Ground

The burial ground found at the crossroads of Postovaia and Sedin Streets in Krasnodar is significant because it is a dolmen. This is defined as a single-chamber, megalithic tomb that usually consists of three or more upright stones that support a large, flat, horizontal capstone (table). Most dolmens date back to the early Neolithic period (4,000-3,000 BC).
