Treeing Walker Coonhound- is a breed of hound descended from the English and American Foxhounds.They were bred to hunt small game, particularly raccoons and opossums. Some hunters use them for large game such as bear. They are fast, agile, and tireless in pursuit. They are vocal with a distinctive bay that allows their owners to identify their hounds from great distances.

English Pointers. The first recorded mentions of the Pointer were in England around 1650. The Pointer was developed by crossing the Italian Pointer, Foxhound, Bloodhound, Greyhound, Newfoundland, Setter, and the Bulldog. The name derived from the way the dog stands motionless when he spots his game as if he is pointing right at it.
American Foxhound - it is taller rangier then its cousin, the English Foxhound; known to have a musical bark when it is hunting that can be heard for miles. They are traditionally tri-colored (black, white tan) they can be any color. They are the rarest breed in the AKC. The English Foxhound is a courageous, passionate hunter. High energy, it needs a lot of daily exercise. It responds well to leadership and is willing and able to be obedient. They are friendly with people and excellent with children, but prefer to be in the company of other dogs and do well with other animals. Height: Males 22 - 25 inches, Females 21 - 24 inches. Weight: 65 - 70 pounds.
