Jacobus Francois Pienaar: (born 2 January 1967) is a South African former rugby union player. He played flanker for South Africa (the Springboks) from 1993 until 1996, winning 29 international caps, all of them as captain. He is best known for leading South Africa to victory in the 1995 Rugby World Cup.
Joost van der Westhuizen: (born 20 February 1971) is a former South African rugby player who was the Springboks' first choice scrum-half in the mid-to-late 1990s and early 2000s. He was capped 89 times for the Springboks and scored 38 tries. His career test try tally of 38 makes him the scrum-half with the most tries in Test Rugby. In 2011 he was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and has only an 80% chance of living for two to five years from diagnosis.
