Laverne & Shirley: Situation comedy that ran from January 1976 to May 1983. It starred Penny Marshall as Laverne De Fazio and Cindy Williams as Shirley Feeney, roommates who worked in a fictitious Milwaukee brewery. The show was a spin-off from Happy Days, as the two lead characters were originally introduced as acquaintances of Fonzie. A Yiddish-American hopscotch chant: Schlemiel! Schlimazel! Hasenpfeffer Incorporated, leads into the series' popular theme song "Making Our Dreams Come True."
