This is an original painting of the "Seven Steps" , in Hanover street, District 6--painted by the artist, David, 1987, which I have. I lived on the border of District 6--Walmer Estate and walked down Hanover street, many, many, times, when it was alive with all its colourful characters, its traditions, its soul, its vibrancy, its many aromas of magnificent food, wafting through the windows, its laughter and then its sadness, as many were removed from the homes of their forefathers.
